encouraging environment where our friendly and dedicated staff
assists patients in achieving their physical therapy goals. Our

patients’ well being. At Executive Park Physical Therapy we are
100% committed to patient care.
What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy involves the diagnosis, treatment, management
of movement dysfunction and enhancement of physical functional
abilities. Physical therapy includes the examination,
evaluation, and treatment provided by a physical therapist.
Treatment is directed toward the restoration, maintenance and
promotion of optimal physical function. Treatment includes the
recovery of current symptoms and the prevention of the
progression of impairments, functional limitations, and
disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders,
conditions, and/or injuries.
Office Administration
|
|
| |
|
In the convoluted world of health insurance, Executive Park
Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy understands the administrative
attention third party reimbursement requires. Consequently,
the office removes this aspect of business by use of an
outsourcing company. This allows our staff to focus on
what is most important - quality patient care. Our office
staff facilitates insurance formalities including
pre-authorization, verification of physical therapy benefits,
and answering of relevant questions all enabling the patient
to start and proceed care without concerns or frustration.
What to expect as a Patient
At Executive Park, you will work together with your physical
therapist in a quiet and comfortable environment towards
recuperation. All our sessions, including the initial
evaluation, require a minimum of 45 to 60 minutes. During the
initial evaluation, you will discuss your symptoms and desired
outcome with your therapist. After the discussion your physical
therapist will perform a hands-on evaluation of your condition.
Based on your goals, the requests of your referring physician
and the results of the evaluation, you and your physical
therapist will agree upon a treatment plan.
Our Facility
Our 1600 square foot facility houses three treatment rooms
influenced by feng shui and a 700 square foot gym equipped with
state-of-the-art exercise modalities designed by Cybex, Hoist, and
Nautilus to mention a few. We have passive modalities including
thermal, electrical, and ultrasound equipment enabling one to
optimize their rehabilitation process. With pride, and difficulty
not to mention, our waiting room is beautifully and therapeutically
decorated with a mural that reflects our location in Westchester
County capturing the Hudson river and the picturesque Palisades
landscape.

spasms, increase circulation and soft tissue flexibility.
Non-thermal Ultrasound- Pulsed sound waves
absorbed by the body to accelerate tissue healing, and promote
the reduction of tissue inflammation.
Phonophoresis- Localized delivery of
medication into the body through the skin by using ultrasound.
Interferential Electric Stimulation- Two
independent channels of electrical current crossing each other
to ease deep tissue pain.
Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS)-
Mild electrical current in low frequencies applied to relieve
stiffness and pain.
Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation/Russain
Stimulation- Medium to high electric currents used to
activate specific muscle groups.
Microcurrent Electric Stimulation- Low level
current used to relieve pain, increase wound healing and
regeneration of tissue.
Iontophoresis- Localized delivery of
medication into the body through the skin by using electric
current.
Laser- Also known as light therapy or cold
laser. Low levels of infrared light are used to increase
collagen production, cell growth, and tendon strength while
accelerating energy production, the inflammatory process, and
decreasing pain.
Biofeedback/Surface EMG- Measures muscle
activity both at rest and while contracting through electrodes
placed on the skin.

tissue flexibility, tissue length, relaxes muscles and decreases
joint stiffness.
Paraffin- Used for heating distal
extremities, and irregular surfaces.
